There are several private players who are in an advanced stage of setting up the infrastructure of Technopark and Technocity. These projects are to be supported.
Taurus Downtown Trivandrum, a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project with a total investment of 1,500 crores, is a mixed-use development consisting of Grade-A SEZ and non-SEZ oﬃce spaces. It will have state-of-the-art facilities with a total area of 24,85,000 sq. ft. and will also have co-working spaces for start-ups and small businesses, a 7,00,000 sq. ft., of world-class, regional- scale, entertainment, and hospitality experience center, bringing to town some of the most reputed F&B outlets in the country. A 125 key business hotel, and 301 serviced residences, are also part of the complex. On completion, Taurus Downtown Trivandrum is expected to generate 35,000 direct jobs and about 75,000 indirect jobs.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Centre
The Government of Kerala has approved a proposal by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to invest Rs 1,500 crore in Technocity. The project, with a focus on emerging technologies like IoT, blockchain, robotics, data analytics, machine learning, and Artiﬁcial Intelligence, aims to contribute to the defense, aerospace, and hardware manufacturing sectors. The center is expected to provide 20,000 direct and twice that number of indirect jobs.
World Trade Centre
Technopark has allotted 12 acres of land to Brigade Group to build World Trade Centre at Technocity. Covering 2.5 million square feet, the project is expected to generate employment for 15,000 people.
SunTec’s new building
The new campus will enable SunTec to create an additional capacity to accommodate more than 1,500 software professionals. The campus is spread across 10 acres and has a built-up area of 3,50,000 sq. ft.
